Roadtrip 2016 Spring: Vancouver - Seaside - Yachats - Seaside - Vancouver

Day 11 - Storm Day

The storm leaves her marks.

Wendy investigates the sea cave at Neptune Beach, while Emma watchfully scans the surf for sneaker waves. The tide line is over 100 meters away.

And then, the sneaker wave. It almost swamps the sea cave cove. Everybody lives.

Spin the bottle? Nope, The Mystery Flotsam of the Day.

Clearing storm. It took many hours of intermittent squalls to clear.

Finally, we get a bit of sunshine. And a patch of grass.

The storm has a last few words.

The little known Yachats blow hole.

The birds know all about the blow hole - but today's high seas are chasing all the avians from their favourite perches..

Spring storm clearing.

Near dead centre of this picture is the edifice we call home for the past week, right on the tip of the Cape of Good Sock.

A bench with a view and a deep puddle to rest your feet.

The chairs are all right tonight.

That's all we get for tonight's sunset scene.
